The Committee named ‘Future Iraq’ in the European Parliament in a statement condemned the wave of brutal murders and attacks against Iraq’s civil community and political leaders by the Iranian regime and its affiliated operatives in Iraq.

The statement indicates, “In last two month, a wave of very professional and systematic assassinations has targeted the members of civil community and political personalities of the Awakening Councils, other nationalist Iraqis and democratic movements. These councils conduct the resistance against the unannounced occupation of the Iranian regime and the terrorist organizations affiliated to it such as Badr brigade and the Al-Qaeda.

After unsuccessful attempt in April 1, 2007on Dr. Abdullah Jabouri, who works against Iran’s state terrorism, and assassination of Iraqi MP Mohammad Hussein Awaz, the ‘Future Iraq’ Committee condemns murder of several tribal Sheikhs leaders in Al-Anbar, Basra and Diyala provinces. The leaders who were killed just because of they were well known in their stand for Iraq and opposition to religious fanaticism.
The Committee in its statement called on the MNFI officials must increase their measures for safety of Iraqi citizens against operators and leaders of the terrorist attacks.
