Al-Anbar sheikhs in Iraq issued a statement announcing, “We head of tribes in al-Anbar Province and it cities want this stated in the record books that we have decided to become a tough barrier against Iran’s project and all those along this regime and Tehran’s agents. Topping this list is Nouri Maliki who is the directory of implementing Iran’s policies in Iraq. We are committed to fight against Maliki’s military and sectarian paramilitary forces.”
Najeh al-Mizan, official spokesman of the Iraqi popular movement told Fallujah TV, “Today, the residents of Fallujah and al-Anbar Province are fighting against Iran’s project. Maliki is an agent and carries out whatever Iran orders him to do so. He has meetings with Hassan Danaeifar, Iran’s ambassador in Iraq, and or Khamenei.”
