Collaboration with the Iranian regime and Maliki and trying to hide their murderous role in the attack
The Iranian Resistance no longer will meet with Kobler and demands a neutral representative from UN
On the afternoon of Saturday February 8, Martin Kobler made himself present in the office of the UN High Commission – about 2 km away from Camp Liberty- and asked the representatives of the residents to come and visit him. He failed to show any willingness to see the destruction of the Camp, the dead and the injured after the fatal attack.
The Camp representatives insisted that Martin Kobler should come and see for himself what the attack – which he was the facilitator of it – has done to the Camp and its residents. He denied to do so due to vague “security” reasons.
Kobler, well guarded by armed men, did not even dare to spend 30 minutes in Liberty to observe the destruction. He himself is the one who bowed to the demands of the Iranian regime and Maleki to manifest the forceful relocation from Ashraf to Liberty. Liberty is 80 times smaller than Ashraf, now home to some 3100 dissidents.
The past 15 years of meetings and negotiations with Kobler has resulted in more restriction and suppression on the residents of Camps Ashraf and liberty and the continuation of such meetings is fruitless.
The Iranian resistance demands the UN secretary general to assign a new neutral representative replacing martin Kobler.
On Saturday afternoon, February 08 of 2013, Martin Kobler failed to even verbally denounce the attack. Such gestures are intended to undermine the direct role of the Iraqi government on these atrocities. In a statement, he just referred to “mortar explosions” inside Camp Liberty. Such vague and unusual reference to the launch of more than 40 rockets to Camp Liberty is an excuse to hide the viscious intentions of the Iranian and Iraqi governments.
