
With a serious rise in internal clashes, a planned speech by Saeed Jalili, the regime’s former senior nuclear negotiator with the P5+1 and Khamenei’s representative in the regime’s Supreme National Security Council, was cancelled in Isfahan’s Payam Nour University.
“The Payam Nour University dean in a strange measure suddenly cancelled the authorization of Saeed Jalili’s speech in the very last minutes,” reported the state-run Fars news agency on Wednesday, April 9th. This so-called news agency is affiliated to the Revolutionary Guards.
“After (Rouhani’s) invitation of university professors to voice their opinions and deliver speeches on the Geneva agreement, we have witnessed university deans canceling numerous speeches of the critics of this agreement under various pretexts,” this source added.
This is while a few days ago in Saeed Jalili’s visit to Mashhad where he was scheduled to deliver a speech to a gathering of Bojnourd Open University students, the speech was cancelled after he faced opposition from university officials.
