The Iranian regime has admitted that a number of Western diplomats have described its invitation of IAEA inspectors as the regime’s new set of pretexts, not taking this measure seriously at all.
The IRGC-affiliated Fars news agency reported: “One of these diplomats, who preferred not to be identified, told AFP on Thursday: ‘In our opinion this is another stonewalling measure by the Iranian regime trying to keep the IAEA satisfied without presenting anything significant.”
Another Western diplomat was quoted as saying: “In the Iranian regime’s suggestion for talks, there are no commitments based on discussing issues raised by the IAEA in the November 8th report. The Iranians have clearly invited IAEA officials, but no sign cooperation is seen in these talks.”
