Mahmoud Ahamadi went on hunger strike on Monday, September 14, protesting being held in Zahedan and Zabol prisons (southeast Iran) for five years in limbo, and without any legal attention being provided for his case. Prison guards transferred him to the solitary confinement of the quarantine ward of Zahedan prison.
After being arrested 5 years ago Ahmadi was placed under physical and psychological torture by prison guards to coerce him into confession.
This prisoner said he will continue his hunger strike until his demands are met.
