In an interview with Al-Arab daily, published in London, Abu Azzam al-Tamimi, general consultant of the Iraqi Awakening Councils, said: “The Iranian regime has strong ties with Al-Qaeda.”

Tamimi added: “Al-Qaeda has attacked all countries but Iran; why has Al-Qaeda excluded Iran? Whereas it is the most easygoing country for attack; there are many reasons for cooperation of the Iran-affiliated militias with Al-Qaeda. “
